One day in late 2008 the destinies of the Colombian singer Christian Davila and the Flamenco guitar player Carlos Mantilla changed in Barcelona. In part by chance or maybe after years of friendship, they decided to give life to El Tumbao de Juana with the master of percussion instruments, Mauricio David Ochoa and other South American musicians.
Their common Latin American origins, mixed with the trends of the Spanish city, create a powerful synergy of sounds. Their music is a blend of vallenato, cumbia, champeta, reggae and Catalan folk. What comes out is the incomparable sound of El Tumbao de Juana, that arouses great enthusiasm in the audience and makes them dance in the narrow streets of the city. Cheerfulness, energy and emotions are the goals of this band that consider themselves like a great family. Their commitment is not only transmitting positive music vibrations, but also being involved in charity activities.
