This is a really lively and colourful band. They define themselves a ‘gipsy-hup daft-ska wobbley swing’ band. From all corners of the world – Argentina, USA, France and England - they tumbled into the streets of Barcelona in 2003 and have been together ever since writing their original blend of polyglot Balkan-ska-swing music. In their performances, Gadjo will take you on a wild journey, from the middle of a jumping ska-mosh pit into the brassy arms of a drunken fanfare. After waltzing a chanson Françoise under an African sky, you’ll tumble giggling into Mediterranean streets for a bit of salty swing. Then, bewitched by love songs, you’ll dance yourself dizzy at an all night Balkan wedding party. With three albums produced, they have attracted a huge international following and toured Europe extensively, playing in theatre, circus and music festivals; up trees, on barges, in bars, beaches, on horse carts, on top of trucks, in clubs and castles.
