Ferrara is easily reachable for both Italian and foreign visitors.

By car or campervan

:
Take the A13 Bologna-Padova motorway, exit at Ferrara Nord or Ferrara Sud.
From the Ferrara Sud exit: the Ferrara-P.Garibaldi Superstrada links with the SS16 (“Adriatica”) for Ravenna and the SS64 (“Porrettana”) for Bologna-San Matteo della Decima. The Ferrara Nord exit links with the SS255 for Modena and the SS496 (“Virgiliana”) for Mantova.

By train

Ferrara is easily reachable by train and directly connected to all the main Italian cities with frequent Alta Velocità (High Speed), IC (Inter-City), and regional trains. The station is 10 minutes from the city centre on foot. Buses n° 1, 9 and 21 (evening service only as from 20:45) depart directly from the railway station. Bus tickets can be bought at the AMI information point, newsagent and tobacconist in the station.
