We are eco-friendly by nature.
The Ferrara Buskers Festival was born on the street and for the street. From the very beginning, it has felt a duty to protect that space—not merely as a physical location, but as a symbol of respect for the environment. Since 2011, the Festival has promoted a green lifestyle, placing a special emphasis on nature and sustainable practices. It was the first Italian event to achieve ISO 20121 certification for sustainability, thanks to the "BGreen" project, which addresses key environmental issues such as recycling, marine conservation, and the proper disposal of electronic waste. A commitment to sustainability has always been a core value of the Ferrara Buskers Festival. Thanks to the "Sorgente Urbana" (Urban Spring) initiative, attendees can refill their reusable water bottles with still or sparkling water for free, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles.
This environmental commitment is further strengthened by awareness-raising activities promoted by Plastic Free Ferrara, aimed at encouraging responsible and sustainable habits.
Having fun while respecting the environment—this is the spirit that drives the Ferrara Buskers Festival.

Our commitment: a safe, welcoming, and inclusive festival.
The Ferrara Buskers Festival is, first and foremost, an event for everyone—a place where art, music, and people from diverse cultures come together in a spirit of mutual respect and freedom. Every year, we strive to ensure a safe and inclusive experience, leaving no room for racism, homophobia, xenophobia, or any form of discrimination. Mutual respect lies at the heart of everything we do. Accessibility is a priority for us: the festival route is designed to accommodate all types of disabilities. An information desk dedicated to accessibility for the deaf community will be available, and our team includes people with disabilities, as we believe in making inclusion a tangible reality.
We also take the music beyond the festival grounds—reaching nursing homes and the Ferrara correctional facility—to share art and humanity with those who often find themselves on the margins of society.
