Ferrara Buskers Festival is a non-competitive event, and all buskers are chosen after an accurate selection.
There are two main sections:  INVITED and FRINGE artists.

 INVITED

• INVITED  receive hospitality (food and accommodation in hotel 4 stars) from the organization and will be refunded for their travel expenses.
• The Invited artists are in program for all the days of the Festival
• In case the artists use amplification, these must be adequate to street performances with respectful volumes appropriate for busking.
• Musicians are selected as invited, but also jugglers and equilibrists in a small percentage
• Artists are selected for both Ferrara and the Comacchio Preview

 FRINGE (other types of artists, e.g. theatre, reading hands...)

• They can benefit from special conventions for food and accommodation proposed by the Organization, but they will receive no cost refund. 
• Based on the artists’ availability, organization will choose which and how many days to assign to the fringe formations.
• The number of fringe artists is different day per day
• In case the artists use amplification, these must be adequate to street performances with respectful volumes appropriate for busking.
  

Only selected artists can perform at Festival and all the artists have to "make a hat"

No artists or groups receive fee

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• • artistic skills and, specifically, busking skills
  • audience engagement
  • making a hat
  • ability to build your own "stage" 
  • technical equipment as busking (no connection to the electricity, only battery)
  • improvisation skills

• sending video or pictures about your show on the street
• the program will present different kind of shows (this means that an artist not selected for this edition could still be selected for the next one)
